senior day success!

Senior Day was a huge success.   All four teams competed in games against the Front Royal Flames at New Life Christian School.  Tip off started with the Middle School Girls at 10:45am and finished with the final buzzer of the Varsity Boy's game at 5:30pm.  It was a day stuffed full of great basketball. Our fans kept the gym rocking all day long with their cheers and shouts of encouragement.
The Middle School girls pulled out the first win of the day with a close game. It was a well played game that kept the fans on the edge of their seat the entire game.   The final score was 26(Force)-24(Flames).  This game finished the Middle School Girl's regular season with a record of 10-3.

The Middle School Boys tipped off second and gave the fans another nail biter.  It was a game full of lead changes and whistles.  Both teams had collected 22 fouls by the end of the game.  Our boys stayed focused and played well as a team and secured the win with a final score of 37(Force)-33(Flames).  The MSB finish their regular season with a record of 8-5.

The Varsity Girls started off their game with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem sung by our very own Ana Blickenstaff.  First half action found the Force girls struggling.  They were down by 4 heading into the locker room at half time. After half time and some encouragement from Coach Blickenstaff, the Varsity Girls came out to take over the game.  Third quarter play was tough and determined. The Force took the lead back in the fourth quarter and finished the game with a final score of 42(Force)-32(Flames).

After the VG game our graduating seniors were announced.  They each presented their parents with a flower and were honored with a round of applause.  Congratulations to each of our seniors!  Caleb Clawson, Isaac Martin, Johnny Poole, Josh Romanchuk, Jordan Jennings and Ana Blickenstaff.
The Varsity Boys closed out the night with a hard fought game against the Front Royal Flames.  They played tough and closed the gap several times during the game, but Front Royal proved to be too much in transition and the Varsity Boys dropped the game to the Flames.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Force during their Senior Day games....it was a fun day full of great competition!  Special thanks to Epsilon Nu for their help in taking the gate and assisting all day long!
